tri-ethylene glycol
Molecular Formula:C6H14O4
This product is the by-product when producing ethylene glycol. While ethylene glycol is produced by epoxyethane through high temperature hydration. Further reaction between ethylene glycol and epoxyethane leads the production of diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol and polyglycol. That is above-mentioned by-product mixture are got from ethylene glycol fractionating rectifying tower by separation, after diethylene glycol is separated from polyglycol fractionating rectifying tower, the remaining mixture are sent to triethylene glycol storage tanks, then in the polyglycol tower, triethylene glycol is separated from polyglycol, the product, triethylene glycol is produced. The product is colorless or light yellow viscous liquid, with little poison and forbidden to drink. It is applied to aromatics extraction agent, antifreeze, dryer, adhesive, car brake fluid admixture, printing ink solvent and so on.
It can be loaded and transported by aluminum alloy tanks, also by galvanized iron drums in bulk.
